STUFF: "Cookie" limited edition
Allee Willis had a massive collection, and she was ruthless about it: what stayed in view, what got put away. When her home, Willis Wonderland, went on the market, everything inside had to go somewhere. I made the calls. This zine is a few things that I felt needed to be seen. None of it is necessarily valuable, but all of it is priceless.
A limited-edition zine (40 total) of stuff from the collection of the Queen of Kitsch, Allee Willis, as part of sharing her incredible legacy.
28 pages. Full color inside, black-and-white cover made from vintage '90s paper from Allee's own stash. Signed and numbered. Includes a letter from my Executive Assistant, Lynne "Fluffernutter" White, on vintage letterhead, plus surprise extras.
"It will make somebody gay"
1950-something, "gay" meant happy, and someone innocently placed that promise onto a kitchen trivet. Clearly, it didn't age in a way they could have expected. Though, *I* think it aged well.
